Samsung has updated its mobile computing line with two new models, the Galaxy NotePRO and the Galaxy TabPRO. Both are offered with 12.2-inch screens (the TabPRO also comes in 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch configurations) and are touted as the first mobile devices to offer 16:10 screen ratios. Each features sharp WQXGA displays at 2560×1600 resolution (more than 4 million pixels) for full HD viewing. The tablets run Android 4.4 KitKat.

They are the first computing products from Samsung to run the operating system natively, running on Snapdragon 800 2.3GHz Quad processors.

The PRO series is feature-packed with productivity tools. Users can access and control their home or office PC from offsite using the Remote PC feature, and both models come loaded with Cisco’s WebEx Meetings video conferencing solution. Multi Window enables users to split the screen up into four different windows, while Virtual Keyboard leverages haptic feedback to provide a more natural typing experience.

Galaxy NotePRO comes with a Samsung S Pen for a responsive tablet experience and access to the Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write and S Finder features. In addition, Pen Window enables users to draw a window of any size on the screen, and instantly access in-application features like YouTube or a calculator. Samsung e-Meeting provides collaboration capabilities by giving users the ability to share content during a meeting without having to access a central server or network.

The 12.2-inch models will come with approximately $700 worth of premium pre-paid, long-term subscription offers from best-selling news, social media and cloud storage providers. The tablets also feature Samsung TouchWiz and the new, tablet-specific Magazine UX display.

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO lines have different connectivity options: Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi and 3G, or Wi-Fi and LTE.
