CES 2013: iPad Meets Pressure Sensitive Jot Touch Stylus
January 10, 2013
Adonit introduced the new Jot Touch, a pressure sensitive stylus that uses Bluetooth 4.0 to add pressure sensitivity to enabled programs on iPads. The battery lasts up to one month with normal use and two shortcut buttons let you adjust tools quickly. Palm rejection makes it easy to concentrate on the image and not worry about where your hands are placed.
A beautiful USB charger fob allows you to place the pen vertically into it for charging. This stylus is a joy to use and the tiny point along with the clear glide allows you to see where you are drawing just like a normal pen on paper.
The palm rejection feature allows you to rest your hand on the screen while drawing (no more concern of keeping your hand hovering above the screen). The stylus delivers over 2,000 levels of pressure sensitivity. This is a real advance in interaction between the iPad and your natural hand-based skills.
The Adonit Store is taking pre-orders in two colors for $89.99 (other Jot stylus solutions range from $16 to $35). You can check out the Jot Touch in the North Hall, meeting rooms 3514 and 3614.
