CES: HYPERVSN Showcases Latest 3D Holographic Solutions
January 16, 2025
At this year’s CES, London-based 3D holographic system maker HYPERVSN presented its latest portfolio of solutions built with its LED-based rotor technology and specialized accessories. At the center of the exhibit was a nearly 30-feet tall version of the company’s SmartV Wall that manifested 3D objects in a futuristic circular glass case. Next to that display was a 3D human-sized digital avatar integrated with ChatGPT that interacted with attendees in real time. Also competing for attention was a live-streamed 3D hologram of a person presented via a camera and green-screen setup.
When we visited HYPERVSN’s exhibit space — amongst the largest in the Gaming/XR section at the Las Vegas Convention Hall — Pavel Dedunov, head of stock and orders fulfillment, told us their customers come from many industries including retail, advertising, events, entertainment and education.
HYPERVSN offers a full-service workflow where customers provide images and details of their assets and HYPERVSN’s team will adapt them into 3D models for holographic rendering as well as programming the interactive elements.
Nike launched its Air Max Dn sneakers deploying HYPERVSN’s Hologram 360 technology in London and Paris stores. The Sphere in Las Vegas boasts having the largest HYPERVSN holographic display (50-feet tall) that adorns the atrium with eye-catching 3D imagery.
Dedunov said museums often acquire HYPERVSN’s interactive holographic solutions for edutainment purposes. For example, the SmartV Wall has been sold to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! attraction.
Demonstrated at the exhibit was also the four-way rotor embedded with LEDs that is the core of HYPERVSN‘s holographic display technology. When the rotor blades rotate faster than the human eye can capture the image, visual inertia will let us perceive the LEDs’ light patterns as a 3D hologram hovering in the air. This underlying principle is not unlike that of laser TVs.
