CES: JMGO’s O2S Ultra 4K Projector Throws 100-Inch Screen

JMGO’s latest ultra-short throw projector, the O2S Ultra 4K, is “the world’s smallest laser TV” and can throw a 100-inch image from 5.75 inches away, according to the company. At CES 2025, the Shenzhen-based company unveiled the O2S Ultra 4K and two other models — the N3 Ultra Max projector with an AI electric gimbal and optical zoom, and the flagship N1S Ultimate 4K. But it was the sleek and tiny OS2 that captured the attention of many at the show. Its shoebox size and throw ratio of 0.18:1 offers flexible room placement. The 4K resolution, brightness of 2,500 ISO lumens and 110 percent coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut all promise crisp, clear images.

“JMGO credits its proprietary MALC 3.0 technology with the projector’s high-performance output,” ZDNet writes, suggesting the innovation “‘overcomes the traditional trade-offs between brightness, color accuracy, and contrast’ because the O2S addresses these three variables evenly and all at once.”

Getting in on the trend toward smart feature integration in projectors, the O2S will come with Google TV, and “access to Netflix and other streaming services as part of JMGO’s intention to provide an all-in-one entertainment hub,” reports ZDNet.

It also has Dolby Vision for an immersive entertainment hub experience, JMGO explains in an announcement that posits the global release of the O2S Ultra globally in Q4, but does not reveal pricing. TechRadar says that if JMGO can get the price right, the O2S has the potential to take its place among the list of best UST projectors.

“JMGO has been making really good-value products for a while,” TechRadar writes of the 14-year-old firm.

Also noteworthy, the N3 Ultra Max outputs 4K resolution at up to 180 inches, delivering up to 4,600 ISO Lumens and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio, according to TechSpot. Its features include AI-assisted HDR10, and the ability to spread an image over 120 inches from a distance of 7.5 feet.

The N3 Ultra Max also boasts an “AI-powered gimbal that lets users point the remote control at any spot on a wall and the projector will automatically align and adjust itself,” something JMGO calls “point and play,” notes TechRadar.

“Since introducing its first gimbal-based projector in 2023, JMGO has released several iterations of its N series, incorporating sensor-assisted movement and other advanced features,” reports TechSpot, which says the N3 Ultra Max is already selling in China.

Like the O2S, it is powered by triple-laser technology, comes with Google TV, uses MALC 3.0 and is due in the U.S. in late 2025.
