Industry Leaders to Gather at USC for Silicon Beach Event

This year’s Silicon Beach @ USC event is scheduled for September 17-18 at the Tutor Campus Center. The event is organized by The Institute for Communication Technology Management and the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at USC’s Marshall School of Business, and the Entertainment Technology Center at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Silicon Beach @ USC will feature game-changers and thought leaders from Hollywood studios, technology startups and academia.
The conference program will focus on innovation and entrepreneurship in digital media and technology. It will be held from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center ballroom. Keynotes and panels will address the intersection of technology and digital content, the future of media, and the monetization of new applications, devices and services.
Presenters and panelists will include Albert Cheng of the Disney/ABC Television Group, Dorinda Marticorena of Warner Bros., Hamet Watt of MoviePass, Jens Windau of AIO Robotics, Andrew Stalbow of Rovio, David Watson of Netflix and others.
The event will also feature the second annual Silicon Beach Awards venture competition (September 17, invitation-only) for the next generation of tech innovators pursuing opportunities in media platforms and digital content and services. Teams will compete for awards totaling more than $50,000 in prize money.
