Vizio is adding an app for 3DGO! — Sensio Technologies’ 3D VOD service — to its Vizio Internet Apps on its Theatre 3D Smart TV models. Sensio is making the app, and is talking with additional set makers about this opportunity. CES 2013: Virtual Gifting with Vyzar Augmented Reality

CES 2013: HP Unveils $129 Mobile Wireless Storage Expander

The HP Pocket Playlist is a surprising little drive HP is demonstrating at CES this year. It’s a portable storage device that allows for the streaming of unencrypted content to up to five mobile devices at one time. The company says it can hold up to 16 full-length movies, 7,600 songs, 10,000 photos, or any combination of those (assuming 2GB per movie, 4.3MB per song, 3.2MB per photo). CES 2013: Samsung Mobilizing 8-Core Exynos 5 Octa Processor

Samsung’s Wednesday keynote was a sizzler that built to an appearance by former President Bill Clinton, but it was the new Exynos 5 Octa Processor that was the star of the stage. Samsung Electronics’ Dr. Stephen Woo shared details of the company’s new mobile chip. The eight-core Exynos 5 Octa features two sets of four cores each, and is the first mobile processor to use chip manufacturing firm ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture, which toggles between each core depending on the application.
